Connecting with the Faeries and Gaia

My 4 year old daughter and I both share a love and connection with the faeries; whether you personally believe in faeries or not in your choice, however if you do your research you will find that priests from England were writing of the Fae over 200 years ago. The only reason that the existence of faeries isn’t common knowledge today is because the church suppressed those who spoke of them.

When I talk about faeries I don’t necessarily mean your typical gossamer-winged beings the size of a butterfly. Faeries can come in all forms (and sizes); from elementals, to tree spirits, gnomes, trolls and elves (just to name a few).

I have found that by playing outside with my kids is the best way to connect with the fairies; they have a sense of mischief and play that is relatable to children and therefore they are more likely to be hanging around.

Personally I believe that when mankind shunned and persecuted the existence of the Fae they escaped to another plane or dimension, and that if you make yourself aware you can see through the veil. Because children don’t question their own realities, they are always going to be more open than an adult, unless the adult opens their awareness.

The best way I have found to help myself to connect with the Fae with my kids is blowing bubbles (the kids get super excited) and I like to imagine that the bubbles are orbs of the earth spirits (I know it probably sounds silly but the faeries appreciate a child-like approach), and it brings joy to all involved.

Connecting with our Mother Earth is also important, she has housed us on this planet since our birth and we should regularly make contact with her as we do any other loving parent. Getting barefoot on the grass is the best method, breathing in the energy through your feet to your heart and back again to the Earth, sharing love with Gaia allows healing for both yourself and the planet.

When we are connected to nature we become healthier, it’s not good for our bodies to be surrounded by electronic energy (it’s not how it was meant to be). So if you live somewhere where you can’t be outside daily in the grass and sunlight, bring nature to you by having crystals, plants and essential oils in the house and appreciate the beauty that is around your space daily.
